Samsung has today launched a new mid-range chipset Exynos 880. It has a built-in 5G modem and according to the company it is the version of the Exynos 980 processor launched last year, which can be used in mid-range smartphones. The first smartphone with this new chipset is today launched by Vivo, named Vivo Y70s 5G. This smartphone has been launched in China.

Exynos 880 specification

The Exynos 880 chipset is based on 8 nm FinFET process technology. It has 2 ARM Cortex-A77 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz speed and the other six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz clock speed. It has 5G connectivity with a maximum mobile download speed of 3.55Gbps and the inbuilt modem also comes with E-UTRA-NR dual connectivity support. It is a multi-mode modem that can use all networks anywhere from 2G to 4G LTE.

Exynos 880 chipset

The Exynos 880 supports triple rear camera setup and supports up to 64 megapixel resolution in one camera, while the other two cameras have the ability to take pictures of up to 20–20 megapixel resolution. Also, this chipset also supports 4K 30fps video recording.

Vivo Y70s 5G specification

The first phone to come with this chipset is Vivo Y70s 5G, which has been launched in China today. Apart from this chipset, the phone has dual-mode 5G, 90mm liquid-cooling system and triple rear camera setup. The 6GB RAM variant of this smartphone launched in black, blue and white is priced at 1998 yuan (about Rs. 21,000). At the same time, its 8GB RAM model can be purchased in China for 2198 yuan (about 23,000 rupees).

The Vivo Y70s has a 6.53-inch full HD + LCD display and runs on the Exynos 880 octa core processor. The phone has Funtouch OS 10 based on Android 10. Apart from this, in this dual sim phone you will get 128GB of storage with both RAM variants, which you will be able to increase to another 256GB with micro SD card.
