The display
The Mi Band 4 launches with a 0.95-inch Amoled display, while the new Mi Band 5 features a 1.1-inch Amoled display that is 20% larger than the Band 4 so you get more characters. The display of both is color touch display only. But while Mi Band 4 has 77 watch faces, Mi Band 5 has 177 watch faces. Talking about the design, the two bands look almost the same except for the size of the display.
The battery
The Mi Band 4 has a 135mAh battery which gives the company a 20-day battery backup as stated. At the same time, the Mi Band 5 has a 125mAh battery which gives a 14-day battery backup. By removing the strap in Band 4, you will be able to charge it while in the new Band 5 with the help of magnetic charger you can charge it without removing the strap.
Other features
These two finesse bands have some similarities like both show you smartphone notifications, track activity, find your phone, set alarm, heart rate monitor, and both are capable of up to 50 meters Can also work in deep water, that is, water resistance.
But there are also some major differences. While the new Mi Band 5 has 11 sports modes, Mi Band 4 offers only 7 sports modes. Apart from this, the new Band 5 also has some special features like 24-hour sleep monitoring which includes many features like Quick Nap, REM Deep Sleep, Rapid Eye Movement Monitor. It is being told that the sleep monitoring feature is 40% better than Band 4.
Apart from this, features like stress monitoring, breath training, PAI (Personal Activity Intelligence) are also provided in Mi Band 5. Keeping in mind the health of women, the new Mi band 5 will also inform you about menstruation i.e. period cycle in advance, there is also a setting for this and it will inform through Vibration Alert.
Prices and availability
Knowing the price is most important before deciding whether to buy anything or not. Xiaomi Mi Band 4 was launched in India in two variants. One has NFC and one does not. The non-NFC variant is priced at Rs 2,299. In China, the Mi Band 5 non-NFC variant has been launched at 189 yuan (about 2,000 rupees). Its NFC variant will be available for 229 yuan (about Rs 2,500). In India too, this band can be launched at almost the same price. .
